The Soft Moon Gig in Frankfurt : an epic moment !

First my birthday travel was to see The Soft Moon on stage in Frankfurt. We added Bosch exhibition and Utrecht few time after having our tickets.
So, it's not chronogical, but the concert was almost a shamanic experience. Luis Vasquez, the creator of the project added probably some magick to his music. I felt like someone in trance during an ancient tribal cult.

On stage Vasquez looks like a shaman. He plays in a mist but he has this kind of magnetic power  which have shamans that you absolutely don't care to see him. It's like he whispered thing to your ear to lead you in an altered state of consciousness for watching over the real world around you and inside you, feel you entire body alone just with sound.

I downloaded the final which was epic and beyond control.  Look at him, he is the Hierophant who raise souls with a perfect mojo in a gigantic orgasm.  Unfortunally the sound is very shitty because of my camera.

You can see / hear/ buy more HERE on the official The Soft Moon website
Enjoy !

NOT ASKED ADVICE : body Hair and body acceptance

Its are my legs. They are unshaved since a few years now.
Some of you probably think that's disgusting and awful. The fact is hair body, even on women body are a natural thing. It became a trend in the beginning of the last century when in Harper Bazaar they show a woman with shaved armpit.
Now it's another way of stigmatize, shame and normalize women body.
I shaved my legs and body during a very long time even if my body hair is a real challenge : thick and growing quickly. It's my genetic but I fought them during years.

As you perhaps know I have a congenital heart defect which is complicated ( and mysterious ). With age my health decline and ten years ago doctors add to my drugs AKV , anti K vitamin which fluidize the blood against clots due to arythmias. However, my blood is a little bit like someone with hemophilia.
Shaved my body became quickly a horrible torture because I used razors. I bleed each time. So I've tried a trimmer but the results were very shitty. I've tried wax. Wax is probably a marvelous things but my body hair are so hard that just hurt me. So I went in a beauty institute. My legs were so soft, but half an hour after I felt sick. I never renew the experience.

Slowly I've accepted that my body hair is a part of me. First I unshaved me in winter and slowly I stop shaving me in summer to. I feel free now, free to live with my body smooth fur. My man never told me something against this choice. He's a clever man and know my sometimes rude nature ah ah ah.

The fact is no one should tell you what is good for you or not, which is girly or not, which is nice or not.
Body hair is a part of the recurring problem of body normalization. Like weight, like what you wear and many other things.

Show your body hair is empowering your feminity. Look at Amanda Palmer. She's is georgeous even with her hair body.

If your fur is a perpetual fight let it grow, accept them. If someone has a "well advised " advice just don't care, it's your fucking body. You must be free with. You must love it with his imperfections ( and what is perfection? We are all so different )

This evening I was a little bit ill, probably a cold. I choose to rest watching TV and found a documentary about life of Ludwig II. Since long years Ludwig II OF Bavaria had a special place in my heart. I discovered his story through the Visconti's film in which Helmut Berger is just amazing. I've red an amount of books about him, I have his portrait tattooed on my left arm.
I visited all his castles, but today I will show you Berg where he died. Why Berg ? Because it was delicious holidays with my man and the place is very peaceful. You didn't imagine that here, a historic German mystery took place.

I also visited his grave. I have to confess that I had a very personal theory about Ludwig death. I dream to exploit it one day, perhaps. However....

My other huge passion is Akhnaten another mysterious King, a pharaoh actually. I'm interested also by Anna Goldin the Switerland last witch, Vlad Tepes of course, Alan Turing ( I'm a geek and LGBTQ rights defender ) and some others on who I'm less documented.

Are you fan of some historic people?

Holidays OOTD: gothic wanderer

Hi bats,

I'm back home after a really beautiful trip. It was wonderful and I will show you places we've seen in future posts and of course about the crazy Soft Moon gig in Frankfurt.
Waiting more discoveries I will show you my travel outfits.
This is my travel outfit, comfortable for long hours on the road. I hate being tight in my clothes when I need to seat for a long time. I'm very sensitive to arythmias due to my CHD and tight pants or skirt are torture. I cut the elastic on all clothes when it's possible even tights. I wear only bralette for the same reason. No more corset or bra for me since few years.
So for travel I usually wore legging and loose sweater.
For Soft moon gig I wore a very comfy lace mini dress with bell sleeves from H&M, Calzedonia lace tights ( with waist elastic cut of course) , fringe cardigan, a basic for me, from Zara and my bat winklepickers.
Necklaces are from Restyle, EBay and Gypsy warrior.
Morning after gig outfit: comfy skirt from 3Suisses, Soft Moon tee shirt of course, my favorite cardigan, old distressed legging from I have no idea ah ah ah, D-rings winklepickers from The gothic Shoes Company and glitter socs by Monki.
For go outs if I added my thrifted boiled wool coat, Killstar scarf and my new beret.
I found this veiled beret in super sales ( I admit my challenge is wearing only thrifted or super sales stuff )Utrecht in Monki store. I just love it !! I also bought kitschy cat socks in sales too.
I have few gothic brand clothes, as a freelance artist I've learned quickly that brand doesn't mean a lot and since my 15 I thrift ( a lot ) and buy during sales and promotions.
My only indulgence are for shoes and bags.
I think I will do a more complete post about thrifting goth.

Birthday travel: day 2, Hyeronimus Bosch & shadows game.

So I did my pilgrimage in Bois-le-Duc and seen for the first time and for real in my life some Hyeronimus Bosch paintings. Even there is a lot of people it was a really great experience for me. I discovered, as I supposed, that reproductions are often shitty. Darkness are never so dark and so much delicate details.

We couldn't take more photos, it was forbidden.  But we took a lot in the other exhibition, a great video installation by Jeroen Kooijmans, The Fish Pond Song. It's one of the best environmental video I've seen. Very poetic and which call to interactivity.

If you have the chance to live or to move in Bois LE Duc, take time for the exhibition and take pleasure as we did. Bye, bye Hyeronimus and followers.

Birthday travel 1st day: i'm the log lady

Hi bats,

We left home for Nederland. We are now somewhere around Eindhoven, lost in woods in a Hotel which looks like a Twin peaks one. And I love it.

And I didn't resist to play to do a tribute to the Log Lady
Tomorrow we will go in Bois LE Duc for the Hyeronimus Bosch exhibition.

Hi Bats,

I was very busy with my job last few days. I worked hard for commissions. I must catch time lost with my health issues which is not easy. And now I'm taking holidays till march 29. I will try to update my blog.
I just want to give you an idea of the program. We prepared it since a couple of months. It's my birthday gift. I'll reach 42 March 25th. I'm an old thing with a shitty heart. I must admit it's still a little bit stressful to travel with a complicated chronic disease especially when it's rare and unpredictable.

First step of our travel is Bois-le-duc in Nederland, the hometown of Hyeronimus Bosch. There is a big exhibition of his work and it will be the first time I see for true his work. It's just like being in backstage with a rockstar for me.
Second step of the travel is Utrecht. It will be my birthday. We want to visit the city which seems beautiful. And I have an appointment with the wonderful Alex from The Ink Society for a new tattoo on my right hand, a wisdom tooth.

Third step of the travel: Frankfurt, where we will go to the Kalte Sterne Festival for Soft Moon gig. I'm really in love with Soft Moon I discovered few month ago. Their music is just perfectly electro dark with vintage sounds. I'm excited to see them on stage.

We will back home Sunday and Easter Monday we will do a family reunion for Easter, and two birthdays: the one of my bro in law and mine.

Have a good week and a good week end. If I will try to update my blog I probably post photos on my Instagram : @gruftimina , you can follow my journey if interested.
My art shop is also open HERE, but I will ship till Monday .

OOTD:Eko, Eko Azarak

Hi Bats,

Brrrrrr it was cold yesterday, so we did just a very quick shooting during our walk. Without my coat I was just iced.
I wore one of my favorite hooded cardigan from Toonzshop sales
Charcoal mini dress with "occult" symbols from H&M
Biker style legging from H&M
Velvet hat from Killstar
And of course my jikatabis for walk.

I really love hooded cardi or jackets. This one is Asymetrical and pretty warm. You can hang sleeves to your thumbs.
It was so cold that I forget my Jewelry, I wore my favorite cernunnos necklace. I think I will write a blog post about my fav jewelry trinket soon. Are you interesting ?

And Eko Eko Azarak is the first line of a Wiccan chant to salute Cernunnos and some other deities. Someone on Facebook reminds me it and how I love it.

Have a nice Sunday, first day of spring. Happy Ostara !

MY UNGOTH THINGS: Sunny day .... Almost spring

This week wasn't easy. I had some issues with my heart. It's still stressful because my heart defect is very complicated and rare. However I took some rest this week. I've tried actually.
After few days at home, it was sunny outside and my man had the good idea to take me out for a small walk. It was a great idea. I admit that I like sunny weather which is pretty ungoth.
I love the sun beams on my skin and the blue sky. I have the impression that I recharge the my battery.
We've gone to one of our favorite place. A small church with a beautiful garden hidden in woods.

Sitting here is being peaceful and taste serenity. You have a beautiful overview on the valley too.

As we are on my lifestyle blog here what I wore:
Asymetrical tee by Zara
Velvet legging by H&M
My favorite walk shoes, my jikatabis ( Japanese worker shoes)

Necklaces by The Pumpkin Coven / glasses by Polette

Do you like sun ? Spring ?

FASHION WEEK 2016: my favorites

I picked up some of my favorite creations of the fashion week 2016. Let's go
The wonderful lace symphony of Elie Saab
Beautifully structured design by ThreeasFour. I love the laser cut details.
Love the layered necklaces and the use of gloves in Chanel collection
I appreciate the 80s post punk taste of YSL collection. Special mention for the huge Edwardian collar.
I appreciate the simplicity almost casual of Valentino's collection.

Have you some favorite creators? Do you follow fashion weeks ?
